Early this morning, President Trump went on Fox and Friends and launched his latest unhinged and desperate attack on me and anyone who holds him accountable.

Trump suggested that I ought to be “put away” in prison, be “investigated,” and said “he ought to be, you know, something should happen with him.”

It’s despicable, it’s dangerous, and it’s pathetic. And when Trump talks, people are listening.

To be clear, this is the same kind of threat and incitement of violence we have come to expect from Trump. It’s the stuff of a tin pot dictator, not the President of the United States.

And here’s my fear – it’s only going to get worse as Trump flounders in the polls.

Just last week, Trump led a rally that included a “lock her up” chant targeted at Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer after eight right-wing domestic terrorists were charged in a plot to kidnap her.

And this week, Trump’s closing message seems to be targeting his political opponents – me, Joe Biden, and Democrats who stand up to him – with jail or worse.

None of this is normal. None of it is ok. And in two weeks, we have a chance to restore the heart and soul of our democracy.

We have a chance to vote to remove Trump from the Oval Office once and for all. We have a chance to flip the Senate and expand our Majority in the House. And we have an opportunity to show that Trumpism was just a four year nightmare, not what our nation represents.

We are just two weeks away from the election. And these attacks from Trump and his sycophants can have a real, damaging effect. That’s why I need your help to fight back:
