Real Justice

This is it, John: we have exactly two weeks left until Election Day.

It’s clear how much is at stake in the Presidential and Senate races. But if we want to transform our justice system from the inside out, we also need to elect local leaders who can implement reform policies in our communities.

While they don’t always make the news, the importance of these races have certainly attracted the attention of those who are trying to maintain the status quo of a racist and oppressive legal system.

That’s why police unions, the GOP, and anti-reform groups are pouring millions in donations to defeat our 14 endorsed-candidates this November. In the LA District Attorney race alone, law enforcement groups have contributed at least $5,000,000 to defeat Real Justice candidate George Gascón.

There’s no doubt that in these final make-or-break days, we’re going to see more record-breaking numbers like this from our candidates’ opponents. We need your help!

Will you chip in $3 or anything you can to make sure our team has the resources to support our 14 endorsed candidates for the next two weeks? We don’t want to wake up on November 4th wondering if we could’ve done more to help our candidates.

Having reform-minded leaders in local positions of power can make all the difference in a community’s chance at seeking justice, and enacting systematic reforms.

When the police first launched an investigation into Breonna Taylor’s death in Louisville, Kentucky the case was brought to Louisville District Attorney Tom Wine.

Wine had the opportunity to lead the charge to bring justice for Breonna. Instead he chose to recuse himself and pass on the case to a Republican Trump supporter, Attorney General Daniel Cameron.

Making big changes in how decisions are made means that we can start to end the cycle of police brutality. In San Francisco, Boston, and Philadelphia, Real Justice elected leaders Chesa Boudin, Rachel Rollins, and Larry Krasner have established a Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission to support those who have been victimized by police.

This is real progress. We have an opportunity to elect 14 reform champions like Chesa, Rachel, and Larry to powerful judicial and District Attorney positions. We have to seize it.

Running in these races isn’t easy. It takes significant resources to organize volunteers, reach out to voters, and compete against heavily-funded Republican opponents. Can you make a donation right now to make sure our candidates have the support they need to win big on November 3rd?

Let’s do this,
Team Real Justice
