Subject: At the final debate, ask about gun violence

John,

Before the first presidential debate, an incredible 30,000 people signed our petition demanding debate moderator Chris Wallace ask the candidates: What will you do to prevent gun violence as our next president?

And yet, the issue was ignored, and the question was never asked.

Since the last presidential election, there have been hundreds of mass shootings and thousands of precious lives senselessly lost to gun violence. Children’s lives are on the line, so it couldn’t be more important for every voter to hear where the candidates stand on preventing these tragedies.

That’s why we’re doubling our efforts to make sure the next moderator, Kristen Welker, asks this critical question at the final presidential debate on Thursday. I know how much you care about protecting children from gun violence, so I hope you’ll help Sandy Hook Promise get the answers that voters deserve on the topic of gun violence prevention. Will you sign our petition now?
