They should be focusing on COVID-19, not abortion restrictions
As the world passes a horrifying COVID-19 milestone —1,000,000 people dead — this administration is focused on attempting to expand its cruel global gag rule, instead of on helping people. The global gag rule threatens sexual and reproductive health everywhere.

The bright side? The government is required to give you a chance to say what you think of this horrible rule — but that open comment period ends soon. Will you join us in opposing this dangerous expansion of the global gag rule?

Deadline Coming Up To Tell The Trump Administration Don't Expand The Dangerous Global Gag Rule

Since 2017, this administration's global gag rule has banned organizations in countries around the world from receiving any U.S. global health funding if they provide information, referrals, or services for legal abortion or advocate for the legalization of abortion in their country. Because of the global gag rule, the communities that already faced the greatest barriers to care — including women and girls, young people, and LGBTQ+ people — have experienced the most devastating constraints on services.

It's bad enough that we must deal with the consequences of our backward government here at home, but the harmful views of this administration should NOT hurt those who receive our support abroad. I find this outrageous and I know you do too. Give them a piece of your mind and raise your voice before the comment period closes.

In a time when health care systems all over the world are racing to handle COVID‑19, the Trump administration is expanding a policy that will cause even more harm. Please speak up and help us end the global gag rule.
