We are only two weeks away from the most important election of our lives, and our movement is under attack. Last night, legendary prairie populist and Our Revolution board member Jim Hightower joined 82,000 activists on our virtual GOTV rally to discuss the importance of electing progressive champions up and down the ballot to challenge corporate power. Heading into Election Day, Our Revolution has endorsed over 400 progressive champions and 88% are running in down-ballot races for mayors, city councilors, county clerks, district attorneys, and school board members — the positions that wield real power to concretely improve the lives of the American people. While the mainstream media ignores our down-ballot electoral work, the corporate establishment views it as a real threat to their grasp on power. That’s why they are unleashing their well-funded right-wing attack machine against our local candidates through glossy mailers and coordinated online attacks. Their lies and misinformation are a desperate attempt to discredit the deep grassroots organizing we’re doing to stop corporations from their plan to privatize and plunder our government at every level.
Rush a donation now to help Our Revolution fight back against the big money corporate attacks on our down-ballot candidates and “get out the vote” work! With two weeks left, we can’t afford to let their lies go unanswered, so please chip in what you can.
If you’ve stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately.
Here’s the truth: Contrary to the lies that corporate power is attacking us with, our ideas are not radical. In fact, our progressive policies — like raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour and healthcare for all — are broadly popular because we side with people, not corporate power (and their puppet politicians) that treat our democracy like a piggy bank to raid for profit. Our bench of down-ballot candidates are the people we’re putting up to stand with us against the privatization of county prisons, to fight corporate bosses to pass local ordinances to raise the minimum wage, and to claw tooth and nail to get big money out of politics. That’s why the corporate/political establishment is attacking us with everything they have. Donate here to help us fight back in the critical final two weeks! In solidarity, The whole team at Our Revolution
