Newsweek reports that “A video has emerged of a Proud Boys supporter warning that there will be a ‘civil war’ if Donald Trump does not get re-elected in November,” ending his message by saying “stock up on ammo, get your guns.”
These are transparent fear tactics meant to get Democrats to abstain from voting. Trump’s allies think that if they scare us with their threats of terror, they can turn Trump’s terrible polling around.
The problem is that the president has issued an endorsement of the Proud Boys on national television -- which likely makes them a threat in the minds of millions of Democratic voters.
Friend, if we don’t show Americans that they have nothing to fear from the Proud Boys’ threats, Trump could win re-election. That’s why we need to display some courage right now, and tell Trump’s personal army we’re kicking their leader out of office no matter what they say. Help us send the message that it’s safe to cast a ballot against Trump this fall -- tell us now:
