DailyKos Elections just upgraded our race for Washington’s 3rd congressional district, moving us from “Likely Republican” to “Lean Republican.”

That means this race is more competitive than previously thought, and Carolyn can pull off “an upset” on November 3rd.

Why the change in our race rating? The latest poll shows Carolyn in a statistical tie with her Republican opponent, and the GOP is panicking.

Last week alone, national Republican groups dropped $900,000 on ads attacking Carolyn to try and save Herrera Beutler’s seat. And they plan to spend at least $400,000 more between now and Election Day.

It’s clear: this congressional seat is in play, and we’re running out of time to build the support necessary to put Carolyn over the edge and win.
