Friend
When I saw that a Democrat Congressional candidate in Florida suggested an “open season” of violence against conservatives, I knew I had to speak out. The candidate I am talking about is Pam Keith, and she’s running against war hero Brian Mast in Florida’s 18th Congressional District.

Violent rhetoric like this has no place in politics. We can’t let Pam win, so let me be direct:

Before becoming my colleague in Congress, Brian enlisted in our military and was deployed overseas as part of the elite Joint Special Operations Command. While he was serving in Afghanistan, terrorists planted a bomb that blew off both of his legs and his index finger.

He almost died, but thanks to God’s grace—like me—he persevered. He learned to walk again, he graduated from Harvard, and he ran for Congress to continue defending the same American values he fought for on the battlefield.

Now, with just weeks until the election, Brian is facing another big obstacle. Nancy Pelosi’s political operatives have named him one of their highest priorities to defeat.

It’s not the first time in his life Brian has had to overcome adversity, but while we couldn’t do anything to help him on the battlefield in Afghanistan, this time we can.

Most importantly, I believe our country is better than Pam Keith’s attempts to incite violence against fellow Americans. If you agree, can you help me support war hero Brian Mast?
As you can tell, this one is extremely personal to me, so your support is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Steve Scalise
