Gaetz went on record a month ago saying he'd do a debate. Well…

Election Day is exactly two weeks away, early voting began yesterday in Florida, and STILL, Matt Gaetz has not agreed to a single debate -- not once.

In any election, it's imperative for voters to hear directly from the candidates. People need to know where the field stands on the issues, what each candidate's priorities are, and if you're as out-of-control and divisive as Matt Gaetz is, you should have to answer for the things you've done for everyone to decide.

But he won't. Matt knows that if he shows up to debate me, I'll hold him accountable for all his wrongdoings. Every disgusting tweet, every shirking of his constitutional duty, every bad faith argument -- I'd demand answers.

Congresspeople shouldn't hide from their constituents. I can say with absolute certainty that I never will, but in order to fulfill that promise, we need to send Matt Gaetz packing this November. Can you chip in $5 or whatever feels right to help do it?

I won't lie. Strategically, it's a good idea for Matt to deny every request for a debate.

How are you supposed to explain doing nothing when Russia puts bounties on American servicemembers' lives? What's his reasoning for being the lone "no" vote on anti-human trafficking legislation? Or how in the heck could he repeatedly downplay the severity of the pandemic when so many families have lost loved ones?

Honestly, I don't know how you can explain any of that, it's all unconscionable. But it's not our job to explain why Matt Gaetz does the terrible things he does.

It's our job to defeat him and return honor and integrity to Congress: It's time we say, "Enough is enough." If you can, chip in $5 or whatever you can afford now to help defeat Matt Gaetz.
