The election is happening now and ends Tuesday, November 3rd. The stakes could not be higher. We are just 14 days away from the election. For the sake of our country's future, please take the time to vote. Vote as early as possible -- in person if you can (remember to wear a mask and maintain appropriate social distancing), but you can also vote by mail (you have until November 3rd) or turning it in at drop off center (by November 3rd). The polls, the news, the political banter can lead one to be disengaged and feel discouraged and disenfranchised. Stay strong! We have to stay focused on what the election means - and what the impact of the next four years -- four decades! -- will be on our country. We need to ensure a decisive victory for Joe, Kamala and Democrats throughout Orange County. A strong, unambiguous rejection of Trump policies will allow us to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves up, and begin implementing sound, science-based policies to combat the Coronavirus, reopen our schools in a safe and healthy way, and protect our small, local businesses. We need a President who feels empathy for others, who is humble but ready to lead. A president who prioritizes country over self, who is honest and will do the hard work and turn this country around. We also need to revamp our immigration laws, protect DACA beneficiaries and roll back some of the restrictions on visas that have been issued in recent years. We need Joe and Kamala at the White house leading our nation. Your voice matters - your vote matters.
