We would have rather said this over biscuits and coffee – but for now, we’ll say it over email:
Friends –
For the past two years in October, we've invited folks across the region to come together and break bread with us here in Asheville, NC at our Y'all Means All event. It's been a time to say thanks, to celebrate our community, and to share stories about the work we're doing alongside and in partnership with LGBTQ Southerners. It’s always been one of my favorite days of the year.
We’re going to wait until next year to do that event in person again, and we hope you’re all staying safe during this challenging time for the world. But we didn’t want to wait to tell you – and every other amazing supporter of the Campaign for Southern Equality – how much you mean to us and how much this community matters.
We would have rather said this over biscuits and coffee – but for now, we’ll say it over email: Thank you for being a partner in this work. Thank you for making an impact in this movement to build a South where all LGBTQ people can thrive. Thank you for your support, your advocacy, your messages of encouragement, and your generous donations.
Every October around the Y’all Means All event, many of you have dug deep and made generous gifts to the Campaign for Southern Equality. For two years running, the support from Y’all Means All has been an important part of our fall fundraising cycle. And this year, even without an in-person event, we’d still like to ask for your support. If you’re able to donate and fuel our work for LGBTQ Southerners, please click here to give. ([link removed])

Over the next couple of months we'll be sharing more reflections on what our community has needed and what you’ve made possible. You can even get a sneak peek at how our COVID-19 Rapid Response Grant Program – through which we’ve distributed more than $250,000 to LGBTQ Southerners impacted by the pandemic – by clicking here ([link removed]) .
As we all find our bearings leading up to election day, we stay in gratitude for the community that is here now and that we will continue to love and support afterward. We hope to see you in person again soon.
Our very best,
Jasmine Beach-Ferrara
