John, Senator Joni Ernst and I share a couple of tough distinctions this year.
We're both in extremely tight battles with just days left before Election Day – and we're both facing record-setting Democrat opponents. Senator Ernst, one of our strongest conservative leaders in the Senate, is facing a radical leftist challenger in Iowa who just released a quarterly fundraising total of $28.7 million – the largest in state history! And you already know that my own Democrat opponent, Jaime Harrison, shattered the previous national record when he hauled in an astounding $57 million – with over 94% of that massive amount coming from outside South Carolina. Together, our opponents raised almost $86 million in just three months.
