John,
The clock is ticking: we are just 14 days out from what may end up being the most consequential election of our lives! If you haven't already cast your ballot, we highly suggest you glance our endorsements page for some recommendations and details on progressive candidates fighting for real change, and important propositions. We also invite you to check out some of our recent forum discussions with candidates so you can hear from them yourself.
Maybe you've already voted, and you're asking yourself "Now what?" Well don't fret because we have an answer: Volunteer for an EBYD-endorsed campaign! EBYD-endorsed candidates Terry Taplin and Steph Dominguez Walton are hosting phone banking sessions a few times a week up to election day.
We also hope you'll continue to stay engaged with us: we'd love to see you at our next virtual meeting, next Wednesday at 6 PM. We'll be phonebanking! Sign up today!
For any procrastinators out there, don't sweat it: you can still register to vote up to election day! You'll just have to do it in-person, since you can no longer do it via mail or online. For those of you with your absentee ballot already in hand, make sure to postmark it by Nov. 3rd, or return it before Nov. 3rd at 8:00 PM. And of course for the early in-person voters out there, you have up to Nov. 2nd to do so. Remember: dates and hours for early in-person voting may vary based on where you live. Once you have voted, you can also track your ballot.
Our action in the next 14 days — or inaction — will have huge consequences for the future of our nation, the state of California, and our own communities here in the East Bay. Let's keep this momentum that we have going, and we're sure to win.
In solidarity,
Jesus Arzola-Vega, EBYD Communications Director
