Dear John,

We’re suing the milk company Fairlife because life for the cows on their farms
is anything but fair.

At Fair Oaks Farm in Indiana — one of the largest dairies in the country and a
supplier of milk to Fairlife — animal abuse is a daily part of life. Video
footage from an undercover investigation conducted at Fair Oaks Farm last year
revealed shocking systematic and chronic abuse.

The abuse begins when the newborn calves are taken from their mothers. The
investigation documented workers kicking these baby cows in the head, throwing
them onto the ground, and leaving them to overheat and die in the sun. Videos
show workers stabbing and beating calves with steel rebars, burning them in the
face with hot branding irons, and kneeing them in the spine. This horrible treatment is a far cry from the happy and healthy lives that
Fairlife advertises for its cows.

deception and false advertising, and right now your support will make twice the impact in this important case and
other urgent legal actions against companies who build animal abuse into their
business models . Make a gift before October 23 and every dollar you donate will
be matched up to $100,000 to help support our lifesaving legal work!

Fair Oaks advertises itself as a different kind of dairy farm — a place where
cows and calves are treated humanely. Visitors to the facility are shown a
carefully curated section that suggests an idyllic life for the animals at Fair
Oaks. But the undercover video proves that this image is nothing more than an
illusion.

The reality is one of violence, cruelty, suffering, and death.

We need your help to stand up to this cruelty, {salutation~First Name or
Friend}. Please contribute to the Animal Legal Defense Fund today to make twice
the impact in our fight to protect abused, neglected and exploited animals.

Unfortunately, the dairy industry is made up of thousands of factory farms just
like Fair Oaks — places where profits take priority over the well-being of
animals. Despite this, companies often tout animal welfare when making marketing
claims to consumers — hiding their animal abuse behind marketing campaigns. STOP THE ABUSE
[[link removed]] Please make a gift today to support our work on behalf of the tens of thousands
of cows living at Fair Oaks — and the millions of animals suffering in factory
farms across the country. Every dollar you donate by October 23 will be matched up to $100,000, so please
give as generously as you can!
