As-Salaamu Alaykum John,

It's simple. We believe that ...

**Justice for ONE, is Justice for ALL.**

"The Muslim Legal Fund of America's (MLFA) work today is actually
shaping and creating a new topography for law. In a short period of
time, Muslim lawyers and legal minds will be in the Supreme Court not
only to argue the cases but also to reshape how law itself is written
and represented in our country."

Hatem Bazian, MLFA Board, Co-Founder & Professor at Zaytuna College,
Professor at the University of Berkley, CA.

Thank you to every one of our stakeholders, friends, attendees, and
partners who made this year's pioneering event a truly special one!

The current pandemic is all about adapting and innovating - so we are
grateful for all of the amazing support we received during our Virtual
Black-Tie Gala last week! Although different,
it was still a lot of fun. And (Alhamdullilah), we exceeded our
fundraising goals for the evening! THANK YOU!

We enjoyed high-caliber speakers, energetic engagement from YOU - and
all of our stakeholders - who helped us raise critical funds to support
our mission: to advance equality and justice for American Muslim
organizations and individuals by promoting legal compliance and
protecting their rights in matters concerning national security law.

We are sincerely grateful to all our sponsors for their generous
contributions to an incredible evening. A heartfelt thank you also goes
to Khalid Turaani, who served as emcee for the evening and who stepped
in for us last minute when Dr. Osama Abuirshaid could not join us. Dr.
Osama did send YOU a message, however, and we will share his message
with you in the upcoming weeks.

We also wanted to recognize and celebrate the courageous and often
underrepresented voices of our beneficiaries. You heard from Khalid
Turaani, Hemza Lefsih, and we were brought to tears by Noor Salman's
testimony. It is not easy to recount their experiences, so we thank you
for holding them in you prayers along with your gifts.

Our theme this year was "Angels Await" and many of you asked us
"Why - The Angels Await"?

As you know, the mission of MLFA is entirely about justice and Allah
(SWT) says in the Qur'an, "Believers! Be

**upholders** and standard-

**bearers** of

**justice..."**(4:135)

We knew our gala wasn't going to be just any other gala. We knew that
since this historical event was especially geared towards exemplifying
the true meaning of justice, that our night was:

By the will of Allah;

* A night of spirituality.

* A night of barakah.

* A night in which angels were present with us.

We are grateful that so many of you generously supported - and
continue to support -- our cause in a myriad of ways. You are making a
difference in the lives of those who come to us -- in their darkest
hour. We cannot look away -- and are grateful for the love and courage
you deliver by coming forward in support of the work that funds justice
for ALL.

If you missed the live gala, it's not too late to donate!

night here !

Sincerely,

Arshia Ali-Khan
Interim CEO & Chief Development Officer
