I am voting against Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.

Because for starters, we should not be confirming ANY Supreme Court justices right now. We are just a couple weeks ahead of Election Day, millions of Americans have already cast their ballots, and the Senate still hasn’t passed a COVID-19 relief bill, which should be our top priority in the middle of a pandemic that has already killed more than 200,000 Americans and cost millions their jobs.

In addition, Judge Barrett had made it clear she is willing to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and potentially overturn Roe v. Wade.

But my vote won’t be enough. FOUR of my Republican Senate colleagues need to join me to successfully block her confirmation at the upcoming vote. That’s why I’m urgently asking you to sign this petition:

Remember, these are lifetime appointments we’re talking about. Trump’s judges will be making decisions that affect Americans for generations to come—including ripping healthcare and protections for pre-existing conditions away from millions. We can’t let that happen.
