We are reaching a critical turning point in the election cycle. With only 14 days remaining in the 2020 election, about 1.5 million votes have already been cast here in Georgia. In eight counties in our district, over one quarter of registered voters have voted! 

This is great news for voter turnout. But it complicates our get-out-the-vote timeline – our persuasion efforts will only work if people have not yet cast their ballots, so we need to be campaigning every day with the intensity of Election Day.

This is the most consequential election of our lifetime.

I am on the ballot, my colleagues in Congress are on the ballot, and the presidency is on the ballot. But that is not all.

Health care is on the ballot. Voting rights are on the ballot. Education is on the ballot. Agriculture, good jobs, and economic revitalization are on the ballot. Our futures are on the ballot in 2020, and protecting our futures begins with getting out the vote in record numbers.
