One of the things I'm proudest of is the incredible political turnaround that Virginia has seen over the past two decades. Our friends in Arizona have seen their state change in a really exciting way over the last few years, too. It could now be the "tipping point" state that determines who controls the Senate. That's why I'm writing you today:

As the son of two police officers, Mark learned about service to his community early on. Then he joined the Navy where he flew 39 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm. At NASA he went to space four times -- twice as commander of the space shuttle. Mark Kelly is a former astronaut, engineer, U.S. Navy captain. Now, our country is calling on him to serve again so he's fighting for a seat in the U.S. Senate -- and he needs our help to get there.
