It’s been a minute since I last reached out, and I know many of you have been receiving my weekly text messages. Normally, I wouldn’t reach out to you this way, but today — with exactly 2 weeks left before Election Day — I’m sending an email with a simple ask: Will you pitch in $10 or more right now to help fund our Get Out the Vote program here in Mississippi? We’re running out of time, and every dollar counts.

With exactly 14 days to go, the truth is that Mississippi is a battleground state. All of Team Espy has been overwhelmed with the amount of grassroots support we’ve received recently. We outraised Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith more than five times last quarter alone. And it wouldn’t be possible without your contributions to emails like this one, and the text messages I’ve been sending you. (Last month, we raised over $80,000 just from text messages. It is all because of you. Thank you!)

We have a real shot at electing Mike and making history in just two weeks. A native of Natchez, Mississippi, I’m so proud of how far our state has come, and I believe we can go even further on November 3. But we can’t do that without your help.

That’s why I am asking you again, only this time in an email, to support #TeamEspy and make more change in Mississippi. We have a chance to not only elect the first Black senator since the Reconstruction era, but also the best candidate.
