Hey John,
Right now the most vulnerable individuals are being exploited on a massive scale and it will only get worse if we don’t take action now. But can we as average citizens really make a difference to help them? The answer is YES. In Direct Action Everywhere’s workshop, you will learn the history of social movements, the ground-breaking new research that shows the power of ordinary people, and the bold plan to nonviolently abolish the most harmful industry on earth that kills billions of animals every year. After participating in the How to Change the World in One Generation - DxE Intro Workshop this Saturday, October 24th at 1PM, you will have the tools to begin taking high impact action with thousands around the world to create historic change by saving billions of lives. The Zoom link is available in the details of the event page.

- Tuesday, October 20th, 7:30 PM: Secrets don't make friends: Mastering the Freedom of Information requests - The Freedom of Information Act, Open Records Laws and Sunshine Ordinances are laws allowing anyone to access nearly all records held by the executive branch. We'll learn our rights regarding demanding information from the government and best practices for finding secrets and helping the truth come out. - Saturday, October 14th, 11 AM: Meetup: Stories from the Community - Everyone we meet has their own unique and incredible story and experience. While we are all united for animal liberation, we all have our own backgrounds and stories to share! Stories From The Community provides us a space for people in the DxE community to learn about and appreciate each other! We know you have a really fascinating pasts to share and we look forward to hearing them! To receive the Zoom call-in link, see instructions in the event page details.
- Sunday, October 25th, 1 PM: Dog Park Day - It has been a long time since we have had regular in-person events. To many, this activist community and the friendships we've made in DxE are very important to us! So let's hangout! Please bring your dog if they are friendly with other dogs! Please note we are following COVID-19 precautions and ask that everyone wear a face mask and since this is an outdoor space it will be easier for us to maintain social distance! We are meeting at Point Isabel, at the address 2701 Isabel Street, Richmond, CA.
