You will be working in an area team but available for deployment in different areas of the City and you will lead a team to deliver effective play and youth provision in a variety of centre-based, outreach and detached settings. The team will ensure children and young peoples personal, social and educational development is facilitated and supported. You will have access to a range of resources, buildings and open spaces across Nottingham City. There is emphasis on working alongside a multi-disciplinary hub to identify, assess, and deliver programmes to children and young people who are vulnerable to exploitation and crime.

* Experience ofengaging with children and young people with an age range of 5-19 years, particularly those who have who have challenging behaviour such as substance misuse, mental health, anti-social behaviour and crime. Supporting them to learn, achieve and help them to build and develop skills.

* The ability to keep young people and children safe and the experience of providing quality opportunities to meet and respond to the challenging needs of children and young people in our communities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our innovative and dynamic CAMHS team. The post holder will be a member of one of our community-based teams working in partnership with social care, health and education agencies. To deliver accessible therapeutic support for children and young people with a range of emotional & mental health difficulties. These vulnerabilities may include: learning difficulties/disability, ASD, ADHD and/or developmental/coduct disoders. Children and young people who may have suffered trauma/abuse.

*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:*


* Relevant professional qualification; socail work, nursing or teaching. Dipsw, CSS, CQSW, QTS, RMN, NVQ 4 or above in a relavant field.

* Ability to provide effective interventions, experience of facilitating group work, training and consultation.
* Knowledge and existing skills regarding a range of therapeutic interventions and their application to practice for a wide range of mental health presentations. Including a sound knowledge of theory and its application to evidence based practice.
* Direct experience as a practitioner in a childcare setting. Minimum 2 years experience.

IAPT and/or therapeutic trauining highly desirable.
