Dear John,

The Prime Minister threatened to walk away from talks.

We came a hair’s breadth from a no deal.

Walking away from talks would be a hideous gamble with this country’s future. A double whammy of a no deal and COVID would be an economic disaster.

The EU has committed to continuing negotiations. It is the Prime Minister’s posturing and grandstanding which are endangering talks. This time, he got away with it. But how much more will the EU take? <[link removed]> <[link removed]>

That’s why we need yourhelp to stop no deal and avert a second national crisis. Any amount you can donate will be greatly valued and put to good use.

Your money will fund our polling, which shows the majority of Brits oppose a no deal. Your money will fund timely research like our recent domestic impact report. And your money will help us keep sending thousands of emails to MPs.

So please, donate what you can today and help stop no deal.

Boris Johnson has said the UK must “get ready” for a no deal outcome.

But as the CBI and many other industries have warned, businesses simply cannot prepare for a no deal on top of the coronavirus pandemic. The government itself readily admits business will not be able to cope.

The Prime Minister should be championing a recovery-boosting deal, not putting our lives and our livelihoods on the line. <[link removed]>

Boris Johnson was elected on a promise to deliver a deal with Europe. The EU has not abandoned the idea of a free trade deal with us. If the Prime Minister walks away from talks, it will be his failure of statecraft.

Times are hard for many of us. But if you are in a position to, I urge you to donate now. We have only weeks left to reach a deal. With your donation, we can continue to lobby MPs and the Prime Minister. We can continue to conduct and promote research into the devastating impact of no deal, and urging decision makers to reach a deal. Please donate now.

The UK came uncomfortably close to a no deal. We cannot let our leaders crash out of the EU without a plan and without a deal.

We must act fast and act to together. Help us to stop no deal now. <[link removed]>

Best wishes,

Cal Roscow,
