Friend–

16 years ago, a grassroots movement started the first online fundraising effort for any major American political candidate. They set records.

Why the bat? Because it inspired the early online fundraising movement that has grown and is giving so many Democrats an advantage in races across the country.

Now, we need you to swing the bat for Doug.

Doug’s win in 2017 gave our movement hope – energized so many and showed that Democrats can win anywhere.

Now Doug Jones is in the fight of his life – in a winnable race where our polling has him up 1 point – but we need to raise another $2 million to send him back to the United States Senate.

So we knew it was time to #BringBackTheBat. And since we launched on Friday, we’ve already raised $803,206 toward our $2 million goal.

Where is that other nearly $1.2 million coming from? Just like in 2004, it’s coming from the people reading this email. Not anyone else.

If we really want to re-elect Doug Jones this year (and we sure as hell do), you reading this email are the only ones who can do it.

Pitch in $5, $10, or whatever you can now. Help us fill up the bat. We really can send Doug Jones back to the Senate. It’s going to take all of us. >>[[link removed]]
