I was thinking about another instance of Rep. LaMalfa’s lackluster COVID-19
response that perfectly highlights what I wrote about this morning.

Just over three months after giving a speech at a “Students for Trump” rally
in which he gloated about how quickly our economy is recovering, we now have
the highest unemployment rate ahead of a presidential election since 1948.

Data also shows that 60% of the business closures from the coronavirus are now
permanent.

One of the most egregious examples of this is Rep. LaMalfa’s response to the
COVID-19 pandemic. How is that kind of blind ignorance of the facts leadership?
If you’re sick of partisan politics that doesn’t consider people’s actual
experiences, help me finally beat Rep. LaMalfa in just 15 days!

Friends, I’m running for Congress because Washington, including Rep.
LaMalfa, doesn’t work for the people.

Rep. LaMalfa’s policies are directed by the campaign money he gets from
political action committees led by GOP leaders in Washington. So when
leadership tells him how to vote, he doesn’t put the people first.

One of the most egregious examples of this is Rep. LaMalfa’s response to the
COVID-19 pandemic. Take a look at the graphic below and if you’re as mad as I
am, donate to our campaign so we can finally beat LaMalfa once and for all!

On October 1st, Rep. LaMalfa voted against a new bill that would have provided
comprehensive relief from our COVID-stalled economy. That bill would have
provided funds for our small businesses and given much-needed income support to
people who lost their jobs because of the pandemic.

But LaMalfa chose the cowardly thing -- he put hyperpartisanship above the
wellbeing of thousands of North Staters.

I’m running for Congress because I would have voted for those bills -- not
because I agree with everything in them (I don’t) -- but because our friends
and neighbors here deserve a leader willing to do whatever it takes to put our
community back together.

If you agree -- donate today! There are just 15 days left, and I’m virtually
TIED with Rep. LaMalfa in the polls.
