John -- I just signed off after taking on my anti-choice, science-denying, out-of-touch, Republican opponent at tonight’s debate. I’ve already received many text messages, emails, and online notes of support, and I am overwhelmingly grateful for the incredible enthusiasm.
I’m really fired up, and I know my team is too. If you watched, you saw how clear it is that we MUST defeat Trump’s darling Lee Zeldin.
At this point, we know how vulnerable Zeldin is. We know this district is ready to flip. And we know our pro-science message is resonating with voters.
Over the next 15 days, my team will use the best evidence available to persuade the remaining undecided voters and turn out our supporters. But with the GOP fiercely determined to protect one of Trump’s biggest sycophants, there’s no time for us to rest.
The NRCC, CLF, AAN, and other far-right special interest groups saw how well we did tonight and how much stronger our message is than their cookie cutter candidate, and by tomorrow morning, we expect that they’ll be up with a whole new set of attack ads against us. We’re preparing to make our final ad buy, but we’re still short of the goal we’ll have to meet to outpace their lies about my policies and record.
