The Center Square reports on WILL's new policy brief documenting the five-year history of the Surplus Property Law. “It is clear MPS is more worried about competition than what is best for kids. Unfortunately, Milwaukee bureaucrats will continue to keep kids in underperforming and failing schools,” Senator Alberta Darling told The Center Square. “That’s tragic.”

The lawsuit of an Oxford, Wis. teen threatened with arrest for posting on Instagram that she had COVID-19 remains mired in delays six months after her parents took the sheriff’s department to court. Luke Berg, deputy counsel for the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL), tells Empower Wisconsin that Amyiah Cohoon and her parents are still waiting for the U.S. District Court to rule.

WILL's motion for an injunction against Governor Tony Evers's recent emergency declarations was denied last week by St. Croix County Circuit Court Judge N. Michael Waterman. WILL has pledged to continue with the case and make an appeal if needed.
