After seeing lagging fundraising numbers for a few days in a row last week, the campaign leadership has had to make some tough decisions.

We're not consistently meeting our daily online fundraising goal. That means we don't have the resources we've been planning on to support our (virtual) field team's efforts in these final 15 days -- or run the ads we need to ensure that every CA-25 voter knows Christy's story.

Right now we're having Christy on the phone making more calls to donors to try to make up the deficit. But that means less time for her to be talking to voters.

If we want to get Christy back to talking to voters instead of dialing for dollars, we need to reach my new goal: $21,000 raised from online grassroots donors just like you today.

Look, the truth is, we're running out of time to win this race.

Even with our two-point lead in the latest poll, we know that our best shot at beating Mike Garcia relies on seeing massive voter turnout. A race this close can hinge on every last vote.

It's why I hate prioritizing fundraising over voter outreach on Christy's schedule right now. But Brandon, our campaign manager, and I agreed -- we simply can't afford to take down our ads right now.
