Across the country, there are a lot of options for how you can vote: By mail, in person, early, on Election Day. Whatever your options are, Make a Plan to figure out where, when, and how you’re going to vote, and get reminders to actually do it through our handy Make a Plan tool:
MAKE YOUR PLAN
Why make a plan? Because research shows that planning out the where, when, and how you’re going to vote increases your likelihood of actually doing it.

First, figure out the where: Your early voting location may be different from where you normally vote on Election Day, so use our tool to look up your options before you go. If you always go to the same elementary school gym, double check. Your location may have changed this year! Then, figure out where you’ll get your post-voting treat (we have conveniently chosen to drop our ballot off in a ballot dropbox near the best ice cream in town.)

Next step, figure out the when: If your state has in-person early voting, in-person absentee voting, or regular old “vote by mail and drop it off as soon as you can,” think of November 3 as your last chance to vote. If you can, make a plan to vote before then in case anything unexpected happens. Making your plan to vote early gives you time to make sure your vote will count without racing against the clock on Election Day.

You’ll also have more flexibility to fit voting into your day and you don’t have to worry if something comes up that might keep you from doing it when you might not have another chance.

This year especially, when you vote early, lines will be shorter, you’ll come into contact with fewer people, and you’ll be helping reduce the crowds at polling locations on November 3.

Unfortunately, some states don’t allow early voting, so check your state page and make a plan to vote on November 3 if you need to!

Once you’ve made your plan, text three friends to remind them to do it too! Look at you making a plan and making a difference.

Thanks for being a voter,

Vote Save America
