Hey there! Yes, it’s me: Joan Jett.
This is the most important election of our lifetime, so I’m getting the band together for a special performance to help my friend Eric Swalwell get out the vote. Will you RSVP for our exclusive event on Wednesday, October 21 right now?
The truth is, it’s impossible to separate music from politics. Rock ’n’ roll is political. It’s always been a meaningful way to express dissent, to stir up equality and fight for human rights. It’s a subculture of integrity, rebellion, frustration, alienation — and the power that set generations free of suppression. People too often forget the political impact it has had on people around the world.
But I'll tell you — We won’t forget on October 21 when we're playing ‘I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll,’ ‘Bad Reputation,’ or ‘I Hate Myself For Loving You.’ I would really love to see you there. Will you RSVP right now? As an added bonus, everyone who RSVPs will be automatically entered to win a guitar — signed by me!
Our rights are on the line this election. Our freedom is on the line this election. And all of us need to show up.
That’s why I’m helping by doing what I do: Holding a private GOTV concert followed by a conversation with my friend Eric Swalwell to make sure we don’t turn back the clock this November.
Tickets are going FAST, but there’s still time to RSVP. Here’s the link: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/ESCA-15-Email-Oct2020-EVT-Jett
Hope to see you there!
