BREAKING NEWS ALERT
The death toll from confirmed coronavirus cases in Massachusetts rose by 15 to 9,532, the Department of Public Health reported Monday. The number of confirmed cases climbed by 827, bringing the total to 141,474. The number of new confirmed cases reported for the past day surpassed 800 for the first time since May.

State officials also reported that 17,654 more people had been tested for coronavirus, bringing the total to more than 2.53 million.
