SPARK was incredible! Thank you to all those who watched on Friday from across the U.S. and around the world. If you weren't able to join us, or you want to experience SPARK again, you can watch on Youtube here or make your gift here.
At SPARK we celebrated acts of courage and resilience during the pandemic. We witnessed one another's power as we called, once again, to lift up trans lives, specifically the lives of trans Black, Indigenous, and people of color. We recommitted to the fight to defund the police and to abolish ICE. We made space to grieve those we have lost.
We were joined by national trans leaders who urged us to keep going. In the words of TLC's friend and partner, Miss Dee Dee Chamblee, "All my life I had to fight, so you gonna have to keep on fighting for your life, and for the lives of other people, too."
SPARK was a powerful reminder of all we can achieve together. Thank you to the unstoppable Honey Mahogany for hosting, and to Chico Chi for the playlist of smooth beats. You can listen to the mix on Spotify or Mixcloud.
Thank you to our hardworking Host Committee, to all our sponsors, and those of you who gave during the event. Together, we raised more than $152,000 for TLC's critical legal and advocacy services. If you didn't get a chance to contribute, and you want to, it's not too late! Make your gift here.
And, it's not too late to enter our raffle. From now until Friday, October 23 at 11:59 PM PT, email here to purchase raffle tickets. Tickets are $18 each or 3 for $50.
