I’m a Black man raised by a single mother in a housing project. My story doesn’t usually end in Congress. But that 11-year old boy beaten by police is going to be a Congressman thanks to groups like Sunrise Movement.

I’m Jamaal Bowman, a former public school principal in the Bronx who will be joining the Squad next year in Congress. How did we win? By recruiting countless volunteers like you to share our vision with voters. I’m writing to you because what we do in the final days before the election will determine the course of history for decades to come.
