What do neo-Nazi extremists say when they hope no one is listening? The latest episode of our podcast, Sounds Like Hate, features exclusive, never-before-heard recordings taken inside a neo-Nazi group known as the Base, revealing the worldviews of these extremists as they discuss their desire for the collapse of American society.

Producers and hosts Geraldine Moriba and Jamila Paksima have examined 83 hours of secret recordings of members of the Base made inside the “vetting room,” where they screen potential members. Data analysts from Stanford and Berkeley universities conducted an extensive analysis of these recordings, which captured conversations with over 100 people, to search for clues about the Base’s motivations.

During the panel, our panelists will discuss “Baseless” and what the episode’s findings tell us about the organization’s approach to recruitment, radicalization and domestic terrorism.
