At a not-very socially-distanced rally in Michigan over the weekend, Donald Trump led his supporters in a “joking” chant of “12 more years.”

The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution prohibits any president from being elected for more than two terms. But throughout his presidency, Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he has no respect for the rule of law or our democratic institutions.

So this news that Trump led his supporters in a “12 more years” chant is not a laughing matter and is especially alarming – because he’s not actually joking.

It’s another sign that we have to do everything we can over the next two weeks to defeat him overwhelmingly at the ballot box and end his presidency and Trumpism once and for all.
