States can stand up for our communities
Same-sex marriage was legal in 12 states—plus Washington, D.C.—before the Supreme Court ruled it a Constitutional right. Blue states, including California and Connecticut, have banded together to cut carbon emissions by more than 30% while the federal government continues to invest in coal. Massachusetts took action to protect abortion rights after Justice Brett Kavanaugh was nominated to the Supreme Court.

In 2017, we helped elect Jennifer Carroll Foy to the Virginia House of Delegates. During her first year in office, Jennifer co-sponsored legislation that raised the state’s grand larceny threshold as part of her work to end the school-to-prison pipeline.
