I was hoping I wouldn’t have to send you another email like this before Election Day, but my race is just too close to leave anything up to chance.

Right now, I am polling neck-and-neck with my Republican opponent. Right-wing groups are pouring millions of dollars into ads in Michigan to try to beat me -- and they’ll continue to pummel us with them over the next three weeks.

But we can’t just shy away when the going gets tough. I know you want Democrats to take back the Senate this year, and I do, too. If we have any shot at that, we must hold seats like mine in Michigan. That’s why I have to ask:

Will you rush a $10 donation split between my campaign for Senate in Michigan and the DNC? Losing this seat would devastate our chances of flipping the Senate, and I would not ask for a contribution today if I didn't think it could affect the outcome of this race on November 3.

We have a tough fight ahead of us, John. Mitch McConnell’s super PAC has already poured $9 million into ads in my state and has announced $5.6 million more. And, just this weekend, Donald Trump made a pit stop in Michigan to rally against me. It’s more clear now than ever that Republicans are on a mission to turn Michigan red for good.

But here's the good news: I have folks like you on my side. And every grassroots donation split between my campaign and the Democratic Party today will send a strong message to Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and my opponent that we aren’t done yet.

Please, if you’re able, split a $10 contribution between my campaign and the DNC today. Even a couple of bucks will go a long way in races like mine over the next three weeks.
