2020 has been an up and down year for us all in every way possible. As we approach our 30th anniversary at Rock The Vote, we have to acknowledge a cult classic that turns 30 as well!

The House Party film inspired a genre of movies that motivated and empowered young Black and Brown kids across America. I’m excited to invite you for an epic reunion and table reading this Friday, October 23, at 5pm PT / 8pm ET with the cool kids we know and love so well – Kid 'n Play and many more original cast members from the 1990 film!

As a child, I remember being wowed by the vibrance House Party showed. It was the first time I saw women that looked like me and my mother on the big screen. It instantly became the most entertaining after school pop-in and a true representation of the hip hop music era we were in.

The best thing is – to join the house party this Friday, all you need to do is donate any amount to Rock the Vote!
