A new bill may require that landlords in Montgomery County provide and maintain air conditioning to renters. While current requirements state that if there is an air condition unit, it must be in working order, the recommendations in the proposed bill will address many unanswered questions. Officials in the DC region, as part of a regional initiative, have agreed to establish housing production goals over the next decade to help address housing affordability in the area.
