When people ask me why I decided to run for Senate and bring a bold prescription for change to Washington, it's often hard to find the right words.
It's not because I don't have a good reason, it's because I have too many good reasons to choose just one:
I am running for my children because they deserve a planet where natural resources are plenty and life is sustainable -- a place where they can raise children if they so choose to.
I am running for my Alaskan neighbors, who pay the most out of any state for health care and deserve better than insurance that breaks the bank.
I am running for all my fellow Americans who deserve to live in a country where our government fights for everyday, working people -- not special interests.
So, John, I don't have one good reason for running. I have a million great reasons.
We deserve leaders that represent who we are, work for what we need, and fight for all that we deserve.
And I'm running for Senate to be that kind of leader.
But first, I have to get there, and I can't do it without you.
