November 3rd is just two weeks away. Millions have already voted by absentee ballot, but many are planning to vote at their polling place on Election Day. The election may not be decided on November 3rd, though, and we must do all we can to defend the vote before, during, and after the election while mail-in ballots are counted.


Provocations and disruptions are being orchestrated by white supremacist groups to keep Trumpism in power. Communities of color are being targeted. The best response to this all-out attack on democratic rights is to deliver the largest voter turnout in the history of our country.


The size of the vote will determine the ability post-election to push ahead for a people's economic recovery and transformative agenda.


Collectively and as individuals, we can be proud of the difference we are already making. "However, nothing can be taken for granted. "Now is the time to push harder than ever as part of the huge mobilizations across the country.



*#VoteAgainstFascism - Five Immediate Actions:*


1. Sign up now and ask your comrades, family, and friends to sign up for "The People Have the Power: A Voter Town Hall," hosted by People's World. It will be a last big push to get out the vote and to prepare for whatever happens on and after election day and going forward. *Register here* [ [link removed] ]*. *


2. Make your own plan for when and where you will vote - by absentee or at the polls - and bring five comrades, family, friends, or neighbors with you. Everything you need to know about voting in your state is in this People's World link [ [link removed] ]." "


3. Take part in the best way you can to mobilize voters in key local campaigns or in battleground states. There is something everyone can do: phone calls, texting, postcards, or COVID-safe lit drops and door knocks. Some organizations to work with include your local union, Indivisible, Poor People's Campaign, Alliance for Retired Americans, and Working Families [ [link removed] ]. 4. Get trained and take part in poll watching in case of provocations and to keep spirits up if voters have to wait in long lines. Sign up with the Election Defenders [ [link removed] ] or the Poor People's Campaign [ [link removed] ].


5. Read and share the election stories [ [link removed] ] in the People's World with friends and allies. Invite them to join you in the Communist Party to organize with frontline essential workers, the unemployed, union members, and their communities for basic rights in this pandemic depression, and to fundamentally change the system for people and planet before profits.
