** PLEASE HELP:
------------------------------------------------------------
** Reindeer and other animals are being exploited
in events in just a few weeks time.
------------------------------------------------------------
**
Lockdown won’t protect them.
------------------------------------------------------------
Dear John,
“Using live actors, LIVE REINDEER & special effects, this isn't an event you want to miss! Even bigger and better… meaning MORE REINDEER… more lights and more glitter!”
This is an advertisement for an event taking place in December. It is a ‘drive-through’ festive event in Wales, being advertised as ‘Covid safe’. Billed to be full of festive decorations, bright lights, music and tens of thousands of visitors.
And live reindeer on display all day, every day, to entertain the paying public.
Shockingly, this is just one of many festive events STILL going ahead this winter despite Covid-19 lockdown restrictions. In town centres, garden centres, pubs and a range of indoor and outdoor locations.
And they will be exploiting live animals like reindeers, camels, penguins and others, reduced to mere props in displays to entertain paying customers.
John, will you take URGENT action today to fight for an end to the use of animals as festive entertainment? ([link removed]) I need you to act now NOW before the season gets underway in just a few weeks’ time, when animals will be forced out onto the road.
Make an URGENT donation now ([link removed])

Can you imagine what an event like this will be like for a reindeer?
Reindeer who are sensitive animals, and easily spooked by noises and new environments. Reindeer who are semi-wild and are adapted to roam the lands of the Arctic, not penned up in a city centre square or pub garden. Reindeer who should live in large herds of family and friends, free to live out their lives. Not dressed up with bells and ribbons and made to entertain the public.
Please can you send an urgent donation of £10 or more, before the season of suffering gets underway? ([link removed]) We are just weeks away from the first event which takes place on 7th November.

I have seen reindeer suppliers and mobile zoo companies advertising their animals for hire, for festive events, school visits, private events and more. Many will have been inactive during lockdown and are now desperately trying to cover losses. These companies will find anyway they can to exploit animals to make money.
So we must take action!
In these businesses, just like in circuses, animals spend hours travelling around the country, confined to cramped trailers and boxes for hours on end. Just like in circuses, animals are taken from venue to venue, used as props to entertain crowds, forced to endure hours of human attention. Just like in circuses, animals are made to perform for the benefit of the “show”, the “spectacle”.
Just like in circuses, animals are exploited for entertainment and profit.
Help STOP this cruelty ([link removed])
So please send a crucial donation today, ([link removed]) to end the use of all animals as entertainment and fight for animal freedom. Your donations will fuel urgent work to help animals held captive across the UK, used as objects for human amusement.
Yours, for the animals,
Sam Threadgill
Director
Freedom for Animals
P.S. In just a few weeks animals like reindeer will be taken out on the road to be used as entertainment at events. Lockdown restrictions will not stop this animal abuse - so we need to fight for their freedom together! Please send a donation today so we can get to work - we must act now. Thank you. Your donation will be used on this campaign and others, or wherever it is needed most to help animals.
