VOTER REGISTRATION ENDS TODAY!
|
|
Today, Monday October 19, is the last day to get registered to vote in California. If you haven't gotten around to registering, today's your last chance! Register to vote RIGHT NOW here: https://registertovote.ca.gov/
Haven’t gotten anything in the mail about this election? Check your voter registration status right now. Yes, even California purges its voter rolls, so if you haven’t voted in a few elections, you may have been removed. If you’ve moved or changed your name, your registration may be out of date. It never hurts to check and it only takes a minute.
Not registered to vote? Get on that TODAY! You’ll need to register by today, Monday, October 19, to receive a ballot in the mail. Register to vote TODAY. You can register to vote quickly and easily at https://registertovote.ca.gov/—do it now!
If you miss the deadline, don’t fret—ask about Conditional Voter Registration at your polling place or at the Voting Center.
Tracking your ballot, before you get it and after you cast it: California is providing online, email, text, and phone hotline resources to voters to check the status of their ballot this year. San Francisco voters can track their ballot on the Voter Portal at https://sfelections.org/voterportal; voters throughout the state can sign up for ballot tracking notifications at https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/ballot-status/wheres-my-ballot.
Looking for guidance? The presidential race isn’t the only thing to vote on. There are California propositions and City ballot measures, and we have our ballot guides plus other resources on our vote page. This page also links to all of the information described above—it’s your one-stop shop for all the information you’ll need to make your voice heard in this election.
Make a plan NOW to vote.
You can mail in your ballot using our beloved Postal Service—the earlier the better. Every county will also have places where you can drop it off early; in San Francisco, that will be the Voting Center in front of Bill Graham Auditorium, near City Hall. If you leave it until Election Day, you can drop off your ballot at your local polling place.
