The two major themes this week are continuing to push for a swift confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett – the timeline is short, it must be done before the election – and working to re-elect President Trump.

Also, here’s what we know about the process now that the hearings have ended. From the Senate Judiciary: “Last Thursday morning the Committee also held its first markup for Judge Barrett during which time it held over her nomination and set a time certain to vote to report her out of Committee: 1:00 pm on October 22, 2020. Unsurprisingly the Democrats played procedural games at the outset of the markup, attempting to deny the Committee a quorum with which to transact business just like Sen. Schumer promised. For a variety of reasons, they failed. The vote will be taken next Thursday at which point Judge Barrett will be reported to the Floor.”

We’ve also heard that it is likely that the final floor vote will not actually occur until October 29th.

**PRIORITY #1** Keep Calling your Senators!

Please continue to call your Senators and tell them that Judge Barrett deserves a fair hearing and urge them to vote yes to confirm her now, without delay. It doesn’t matter if they are Republican or Democrat, they all need to hear this message again and again.

So, we must keep calling, as we know Democrats will do whatever they can to delay, delay, delay, and Oct. 29th – the likely floor vote day – is only four days before Election Day.

Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I live in [City, State]. I’m calling to urge the Senator to support Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination and to confirm her quickly, without delay. Thank you!

If you are receiving “Supreme Court Defenders” emails, you are already signed up for this list. If you didn’t receive that email, then you will want to make sure you get signed up for the coalition group that will work to support President Trump’s SCOTUS nominee. You will receive emails with messaging, news, action items, and more that are only about this Supreme Court seat fight.

Amplify Messaging

We all need to help to dispute and refute the false notion that the entire nation’s health care is going to disappear if Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed. This was one of the Democrats’ obvious tactics last week during the hearings. It’s not so much that they care about how a Justice Barrett would rule on Obamacare. It’s more that they are afraid of a Constitutionalist being appointed to the Supreme Court, and they want to use people’s fear of losing health care to help Joe Biden win the election.

We also need to help amplify the fact that the Democrats want to eliminate the filibuster and increase the court size so that Americans understand everything is about power for the left, and that this is what they intend to do if given the chance.

Write & Submit Letters to the Editor Locally

Please write and submit letters to the editor of your local newspaper expressing support for Amy and asking others to call your state’s Senators urging them to support her confirmation without delay. If you need help writing a letter to the editor, you can the sample letter to the editor in our toolkit, or check ConfirmAmy.com for facts you can use to craft your own letter. If. You get one placed, please send us the link (if it’s online) or a picture of it (if it’s in the hard copy of the newspaper) to [email protected].

We’ve now seen multiple instances of large piles of ballots being found in dumpsters, and post office employees being arrested. If you are able, please vote in person, and sign this pledge.
