John –
I held town halls up and down Kentucky this summer. And at every one, I asked folks to raise a hand if they or someone they love has been hit by the opioid crisis.
In most places, every hand in the room went up.
In fact, if I gave you a nickel for every hand that didn't go up, you wouldn't be able to buy a decent cup of coffee with it.
How did this happen? It's as simple as this:
The corporate criminals at Purdue Pharma flooded Kentucky with millions of highly addictive pills, then sat back and watched the profits roll in as communities got more and more desperate.
I'm running for Attorney General to hold pharmaceutical executives accountable for the plague they unleashed on my state. Are you with me? Chip in now!
It's critical we all stand together in this fight, John, because my opponent is Purdue Pharma's handpicked candidate.
In fact, he is a registered lobbyist for Purdue Pharma. He makes a living justifying their behavior – and trying to make their lives easier. He's the last person in Kentucky who will hold them accountable.
In 2007 I became the first AG in the nation to take Purdue Pharma to court, and though they ended up paying millions in damages to Kentuckians, they kept pushing poison into our communities.
Now, I'm running to stop their abuse once and for all – to make sure huge drug companies know they're not above the law.
I started this fight against Big Pharma over ten years ago. Now I'm stepping up to finish it.
Stand with me, John. Donate now to bring opioid profiteers to justice!
