Please join us next week for our special event "The Making of a Supreme Court Justice - How a Changing Process is Changing America"
Hello Dallas County Young Republicans,

Please join us on Tuesday, October 27th at 6:30 P.M. at the Dallas Petroleum Club for "The Making of a Supreme Court Justice — How a Changing Process is Changing America", featuring two very special guest speakers, Hannah and John Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Smith are incredibly talented, highly regarded attorneys with deep experience in both the White House and the Supreme Court. Mr. Smith served as associate counsel to the President of the United States under George W. Bush, and Mrs. Smith has contributed to over 25 briefs at the US Supreme Court, in addition to serving as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. They will be addressing a range of topics, including the confirmation battles around Justices Alito and Gorsuch, the role of the White House in lower court and Supreme Court vacancies, and the Trump-era surge of nominations to the judiciary.

They are the perfect speakers to help us explore the high-profile confirmation battle we find ourselves in currently with Amy Coney Barrett. I have included brief bios for both Mr. and Mrs. Smith – I think you will see that they are the right people to educate Dallas YR about this critical moment in history! They are incredibly talented, accomplished individuals that have occupied positions of leadership in the highest ranks of government, the legal profession, and private business. I hope everyone will come ready with questions.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith will begin their remarks promptly at 7:00 PM.  The event will take place at the Dallas Petroleum Club, located on the 39th floor of Chase Tower downtown (2200 Ross Ave). Parking is available in the garage below the building for $1. Attire for the event is business casual. We will have a private room inside for our meeting.  PLEASE WEAR A MASK!!!

We are so fortunate to have experts like Hannah and John Smith share their unique insights with us on what is one of the most significant events of both the Trump presidency and this election. This will also be our last meeting before Election Day – so please invite your friends and let’s turnout 200 people for this event!

Lastly, I want to remind everyone that early voting started on Tuesday, October 13th and continues until Friday, October 30th!  Given the events swirling around this election, I HIGHLY recommend that you vote early and make sure your vote counts! Thank you for your continued support of Dallas County Young Republicans. Looking forward to seeing everyone at this event!
