Dear Friends,

We are 2 weeks away from the general election, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Monday night is the Gubernatorial debate between Senator Dan Feltes and Governor Chris Sununu. I encourage you all to switch to WMUR at 7pm to watch the candidates.

Coming up this week also I will be moderating a Cheshire County Democrats Rural Development Virtual Town Hall with local State House Candidates. To attend this event, click this link ([link removed]) . This town hall will feature Rep. Jennie Gomarlo, Rep. Barry Faulkner, Andrew Maneval from Harrisville and Lucius Parshall from Marlborough. All of these candidates have strong beliefs on how to develop their own respective communities and I hope you’ll join us. If you missed the Healthcare Virtual Town Hall this past Thursday, it can be viewed by clicking this link. ([link removed])

This weekend and next, Cheshire County Democrats are hosting literature drop events to help local and national Democratic candidates. This is a great way to engage the community safely and encourage voting, while being conscious of social distancing. To learn more about these events please contact Emma Greenberg at [email protected].

A quick note for local business owners: Governor Sununu has released another $100 million in CARES funding to be allocated to the Main Street small business fund. The application period opens Monday October 19, 2020. The deadline to Submit Completed Applications is 4:00 PM on October 30, 2020. For more information on this click this link ([link removed]) .

New endorsements were received last week from the Keene Sentinel and NH Police Association. These are in addition to previous endorsements by Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood NNE PAC, NEA-NH PAC (teachers), SEIU PAC (state employees), AFL-CIO PAC, Social Workers, Humane Society Fund. Endorsements don’t win elections, though they try to push constituent turnout. It’s all about turnout.

We continue to distribute lawn signs. Let me know if you’d like candidate signs. Keep your energy and interest up. Democrats need to win up and down the ballot.

Sincerely,
Jay Kahn
