Dear National Park Advocate,

Since President Trump announced he was attempting to remove
protections and reduce Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante
National Monuments, I've had moments of disbelief, frustration
and anger.

But even as the administration continues to illegally press forward
with destructive management plans for these monuments, I have not lost
hope.

Advocates like you have taken hundreds of thousands of actions to
defend our national monuments, and you continue to stand strong and
speak out for these places we all love and cherish. And now, my hope
is strengthened as Congress has an opportunity to restore permanent
protections for our monuments.

Tell Congress to support and pass the America's Natural
Treasures of Immeasurable Quality Unite, Inspire, and Together Improve
the Economies of States (ANTIQUITIES) Act that would restore
protections for Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante and 50 more
national monuments.

The ANTIQUITIES Act will go a long way in safeguarding America's
national monuments and neighboring national parks.

This legislation would reinstate the original boundaries for Bears
Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante and extend protections to 50 more
monuments. It would also make clear that while presidents have
authority to create monuments, they lack the authority to shrink or
eliminate them.

Urge your members of Congress to protect our national monuments by
supporting and passing the ANTIQUITIES Act today!

Thank you for continuing to stand up, speak up and offer hope for
America's public lands. Together, we are making a difference.

Sincerely,

Theresa Pierno
President and CEO

PS. We know from recent studies that personalized letters to members
of Congress can make a real difference. All it takes is a quick note
to let them know that you're a real person who cares deeply
about America's parks. So please, take an extra few seconds to
personalize your letter before you send it!
