We’ve awakened a sleeping giant. The establishment money machine has flickered to life to defend its incumbent.

The Giant wants to steamroll our movement, and silence our voices. The Giant would prefer we do not loudly insist on putting people in our community before corporate profits.

We have other plans.

We plan to step up our attacks on ethically compromised leadership in Washington, DC, regardless of party. We can do this only because our campaign refuses corporate money.
 
We plan to escalate and amplify our demands for economic justice in the form of a Universal Basic Income and Medicare for All. We can do this only because we will never owe health insurance companies or Big Pharma a dime.
 
And we plan to send a message to the donor class Democrats everywhere who neglect the basic needs of their constituents in the middle of both a viral and economic pandemic when we take CA-34 in November. We can do this only because of supporters like you.
 
Here’s what I’m asking you to do in this crucial moment:
 
Help us flood social media with the #DonatetoDavid hashtag and tell your friends in the district and across the country about what we’re building here: a floor for every American to stand on. Please share what Medicare For All and a Universal Basic Income would mean for you and your family. Let's continue to use our voice to demand relief for all Americans in this time of unrepresented need.
 
Second, think about what the next three weeks could mean for our campaign could mean, for our community, and then donate what you can to ensure that we do not fall short. Don’t forget to use the #DonateToDavid hashtag to share your support with friends and family on social media, too.

Once we’ve shocked the world here in humble Los Angeles, it’s off to Washington to take on the Giant. With a slingshot in my back pocket and you at our back, we can’t lose.
