The Los Angeles Times recently reported that “in nearly 40 states, election officials check the signatures on the ballot envelopes that voters send back against the ones on file … If a signature doesn’t appear to match, what happens next depends on the state -- and even the country -- a voter lives in.” In some states, “their ballots are tossed out.” 

 

The GOP is currently spending millions to get legitimate ballots thrown out across the country, all in the name of stopping “voter fraud” from “rigging” the election.

 

But here’s the thing: the “voter fraud” they claim to be so scared of is nonexistent. Multiple states have been conducting their elections entirely by mail-in-voting for decades. It’s proven to be safe, secure, and fair.

 

The GOP secretly knows this, which is why they’re doing everything they can to compromise what should be a smooth and democratic process. They’re attacking the USPS, installing 50,000 “poll-watchers” to intimidate voters of color, and crying foul on the integrity of mail-in ballots, all so that Trump can strong-arm his way to re-election.
