Applications are invited?to cover?school swimming lessons?within a number of leisure centres within the city including: Clifton Leisure Centre, Djanogly Leisure Centre, Harvey Hadden Sport Village, John Carroll Leisure Centre, Ken Martin Leisure Centre, Southglade Leisure Centre, and Victoria Leisure Centre.? You will need to be Level 2 qualified in teaching?aquatics, and have a rescue qualification or be in a position to complete during the first three months of employment.

The successful candidate will join a large?and dedicated team who support schools in the city to achieve and deliver the National Curriculum learning outcomes to children and young people,?whilst providing safe supervision of the pool during lessons.?

Teaching consists of working with a spectrum of ages and abilities.??During lessons you will be expected to produce a scheme of work and provide assessments of abilities in line with the Swim Charter, whilst ensuring that the delivery is fun, progressive and motivating to meet the level of abilities?being taught.?


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?

Level 2 in Teaching Aquatics

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

Rescue qualification, either NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard) or NRASTAC (National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers And Coaches.


Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate.

Experience in organising, leading?and promoting sports activites. ?
